AQUASHIELD PLUS is a new and improved waterproofing
compound specially formulated for use over concrete surfaces
and mortars. AQUASHIELD PLUS is a two-component system, utilizing
a blend of cementitious materials and the latest advancements
in polymer latex technology. This highly effective waterproofer
is flexible and non-toxic.
advantages:
- Excellent Bonding - Aquashield Plus is 100% compatible with
any concrete surface. Once applied, it will be monolithic
with the concrete substrate.
-
Flexible - Hairline cracks can be easily bridged to maintain
the integrity of the waterproofing barrier. No leaks to worry.
-
Time Saving - Unlike bitumen or elastomeric type systems,
there is no need to wait 28 days for full curing of concrete
substrates before application of waterproofing.
-
Easy Application - A brush will do the job.
-
Economical - Technological advancements make cementitious
waterproofing the most cost effective waterproofing today.
-
Paintable - Acrylic or latex paints are compatible to give
it the colored finish of your choice.
-
Non-toxic - It can be used for potable water storage tanks
like cisterns. Aquashield Plus is not harmful to wildlife
in fishponds.
-
Ready for Tile Installation - After application and flood
testing, tiles can be layed directly on the Aquashield Plus
with the use of ABC Tile Adhesive.
uses:
- For external and internal concrete surfaces where water,
moisture or condensation is a problem.
-
For crack sealing, repair works and for long term protection
against seepages, leaks and water infiltration.
-
For specific applications such as watertanks, firewalls, roofdecks,
floor slabs above and below ground, CHB walls, concrete gutters
and plant boxes, etc.
surface preparation:
Concrete surfaces must be free of form oil, dirt, dust and other
contaminants which would affect adhesion of AQUASHIELD PLUS.
Use a steel trowel to scrape off loose particles. Concrete must
be structurally sound.
CAUTION: Use AQUAPLUG hydraulic cement to seal leaks and seepages
before applying AQUASHIELD PLUS. Remove deteriorated plasters
and make good with appropriate patching mortars. Consult your
ABC technician or dealer.
mixing:
Shake liquid (Component A) vigorously. Use a clean plastic or
another non-absorptive container and add the powder (Component
B) to the liquid (Component A), approx. 3 kg powder to 1L liquid.
Mix to form a slurry consistency. Stir by hand or with a low
speed mixer. Use within a pot life of 1 hour. NOTE: Do not add
water to change the consistency of the mix.
application:
- Dampen absorbent concrete surfaces prior to application
to kill suction and prevent premature drying out of waterproofing
coat. During hot and/or windy conditions, moisten thoroughly
and apply the initial coat using a stiff bristle brush. Allow
to cure for 4 - 6 hours.
-
Dampen slightly and subsequently apply the second coat. If
a third coat is required, observe the same time interval and
procedure prior to application. For floor applications such
as basements, roof decks, etc. plaster coats may be applied
using a notched steel trowel (3 x 3 mm).
-
Cover with wet burlap (a coarse cloth made of jute or hemp)
or plastic sheet to improve curing and protect from elements.
A minimum of 2 coats is always required. In cases where water
seepages or infiltration is heavy, 3 - 4 coats might be necessary.
safety:
As with any cementitious material, avoid prolonged contact with
skin and eye.
storage:
When stored in a cool dry place AQUASHIELD PLUS will remain
usable for a period of 1 year from date of manufacture.
packaging:
4.5 kg SET and 36 kg SET. One set consists of COMPONENT A (Liquid
Polymer) and COMPONENT B (Powder).
cleaning:
Do not let material cure and harden on tools, mixing pail and
equipment. Clean immediately with water after use.
coverage:
2.5 - 3 kg of AQUASHIELD PLUS shall cover approximately 1m2
at 2 coats.

AQUAPLUG is a cement-based, rapid-setting hydraulic
compound. It stops running water, seals leaks/seepages through
concrete or masonry walls and floors. It is a ready-mixed dry
powder compound, which only requires the addition of clean water.
properties:
- Rapid setting: Sets, expands and bonds tenaciously to seal
off active water in less than 2 minutes
-
Contains no metal particles
-
Will not rust, shrink, oxidized nor deteriorate
-
Repairs permanently when properly applied
uses:
- Instantly stops flowing/pouring/running water under pressure.
-
Plugs holes, cracks, faults causing leakages and seepages
through concrete floors, walls & junction and general
masonry.
-
Seals to prevent seepages around inserts such as pipes and
sleeves and other metal fixtures in masonry and concrete.
-
Similar applications in any architectural or structural concrete
and masonry, mines, sewers, tanks, tunnels reservoirs, pits
etc.
surface preparation:
Spot of area to be plugged must be free of any dirt, cuttings,
loose concrete or any foreign matter. Use wire brush or any
suitable tool. If less than 19mm in width and depth, chisel
to this measurement with opening at surface to be narrower than
the bottom for best results. If hole or crack is not leaking
at time of repair, soak area before plugging with AQUAPLUG.
mixing:
Mix AQUAPLUG with clean potable water only. Do not use saline
water. Mix 3 parts of AQUAPLUG with 1 part of water to form
a plastic mass approximately the same shape as the hole or crack
to be plugged. Hardening takes place 1 minute after addition
of water, so AQUAPLUG must be mixed and applied quickly.
caution:
AQUAPLUG that is already hardening, must not be made workable
by re-stirring or re-mixing.
applications:
- Push and force a mass of AQUAPLUG firmly with palm, trowel
or wood block into the opening or hole for 2 minutes.
-
AQUAPLUG is hard and resistant to water pressure 2-3 minutes
after application. AQUAPLUG becomes hard and more resistant
when subjected to constant water pressure.
-
Shave surface with knife or trowel and keep damp for at least
15 minutes.
special applications:
- To seal wall-floor joints, press AQUAPLUG into prepared
crack with a round tool and smoothen out.
-
To stop streams of running water through concrete walls or
pipes, apply successive small rolls of AQUAPLUG starting at
the highest point of the crack and push in firmly. At points
of greater pressure, first hold AQUAPLUG in hand or trowel
until slight warmth or drying starts, then press hard into
the opening. Exert pressure over AQUAPLUG for a few minutes,
or until material sets and active water stops flowing
safety:
Avoid splashing into eyes or contact with skin. In case of such
contact, flush eyes thoroughly with water and seek medical advice.
Wash hand thoroughly after handling and before smoking or eating.
Do not take internally. Generates heat when mixed with water.
Wear gloves when handling.
caution:
AQUAPLUG could be injurious to your eyes. It could also cause
skin irritation.
storage:
When store in a cool dry place AQUAPLUG will remain usable for
a period of 1 year from date of manufacture.
packaging:
1.25kg steel can
5kg steel can
25kg plastic container (special request)
coverage:
1kg of AQUAPLUG approximately fills a volume of H10cm x W 2.5cm
x D 2.5cm (dependent on temperature, workmanship and site conditions).
