    Working Life : 15 to 20 min.
Shelf life : 6 months stored dry in unopened supplier’s container
    Mixed density : approx. 2200 - 2250 kg/m3
    Minimum application thickness : 10mm
    General max. thickness : 75mm

    surface preparation:
Surface must be clean, sound and must be free from any loose or friable material, dust, oils, grease etc. For maximum bond, surface should be abraded or roughened by using mechanical equipment such as needle gun or brush hammer. All surfaces must be saturated with clean water, but be free from any surface water or puddles prior to application on ABC ZEMGROUT.

    mixing:
ABC ZEMGROUT is best mixed in a forced action mixer. Machines of the paddle type are most efficient however low speed drills may be used with a suitable mixing paddle. Place clean water in a non-absorptive pail and add slowly while mixing ABC ZEMGROUT. Mix for 2 min. or until the mix is free from lumps and a flowing consistency is achieved. Do not mix more grout than can be used within 15 - 20 min.
caution: Do not add more water after final mixing.

    application:
When pouring, the area of grouting must be tightly shuttered and a header box used, so that a grout head of 150-200mm can be maintained. For longer applications, ABC ZEMGROUT can be placed using a grout pump. Ensure that air is displaced by grout, if necessary, by making breather holes. Use steel rods or chains to assist the flow grout where necessary. After the grout has initially hardened, remove any shuttering and keep the grout damp by covering with polyethylene or damp cloth.

    important information:

    1. As cement is alkaline and may cause irritation, operatives are recommended to wear gloves and goggles when using ABC ZEMGROUT.
    2. Store ABC ZEMGROUT off the floor in cool, dry areas.
    3. Any temporary shims or jacks should be removed after 72 hrs. Normal practice with grouting and tightening of holding down bolts should be observed.
    4. At higher temperatures within the average range, working time will be reduced. At lower temperature, it may be extended and the rate of strength gain reduced.
    5. Clean tools and equipment using water while the grout is still soft. Hardened grout can only be mechanically removed.

    consumption (approximate):

    application:
ABC FLOOR HARDENER is pre-mixed and ready to use.
SURFACE ARMORING is achieved by broadcasting evenly on freshly screed concrete as follows:
        Light Traffic : 3 kg/m2
        Medium Traffic : 4 kg/m2
        Heavy Traffic : 5 kg/m2

    typical method of application:

    1. Follow good concreting practice when laying base slab. Smooth and close the surface of concrete with wood float to ensure an even and dense surface. Remove any excess water or laitance from the surface of the slab using a soft broom.
    2. Broadcast ABC FLOOR HARDENER in two equal stages evenly over the surface of concrete. The first application is made as soon as the floor is firm enough so that aggregates do not sink. Wood float or trowel to compact the first layer. Broadcast the second layer approx. 20-30 minutes after the first application or just before the initial coat is about to set.
    3. Smooth lightly with a steel trowel taking extra care to ensure that the metal aggregates are not embedded under the substrate surface. When firm, steel trowel again to bring the surface to a perfect finish, again making sure that the metal aggregates are not buried beneath the surface. To produce a non-slip finish, trowel in a sweeping circular motion to produce slight ridges.

    storage:
When stored in a cool dry place, ABC FLOOR HARDENER will remain usable for a period of 1 year from date of manufacture.

    packaging:
    25 kg multi-layered self-sealing paper bag.
