Minimum application thickness : 10mm
General max. thickness : 75mm
surface preparation:
Surface must be clean, sound and must be free from any loose
or friable material, dust, oils, grease etc. For maximum bond,
surface should be abraded or roughened by using mechanical equipment
such as needle gun or brush hammer. All surfaces must be saturated
with clean water, but be free from any surface water or puddles
prior to application on ABC ZEMGROUT.
mixing:
ABC ZEMGROUT is best mixed in a forced action mixer or with machines of the paddle type. However, low speed drills may be used with a suitable mixing paddle. In a non absorptive pail with 4.5L clean water, add slowly 25kg ABC ZEMGROUT while mixing for 2 minutes, until the mix is free from lumps and a flowing consistency is achieved. Only mix as much grout than can be used within 15-20 minutes.
caution: Do not add more water after final mixing.
application:
When pouring, the area of grouting must be tightly shuttered
and a header box used, so that a grout head of 150-200mm can
be maintained. For larger applications,
the use of a grout pump is recommended. If necessary, make breather holes to ensure that air is displaced by grout. Use steel rods or chains to assist the flow grout. After the grout has iniatially hardened, remove any shuttering & keep the grout damp by covering with polyurethane or damp cloth. important information:
- As cement is alkaline and may cause irritation, operatives
are recommended to wear gloves and goggles when using ABC
ZEMGROUT.
- Store ABC ZEMGROUT off the floor in cool, dry areas.
- Any temporary shims or jacks should be removed after 72 hrs.
Normal practice with grouting and tightening of holding down
bolts should be observed.
- At higher temperatures within the average range, working time
will be reduced. At lower temperature, it may be extended
and the rate of strength gain reduced.
- Clean tools and equipment using water while the grout is still
soft. Hardened grout can only be mechanically removed.

ABC FLOOR HARDENER is produced from graded
copper slags/quartz aggregates and special chemical additives
to provide extreme abrasion resistant surfaces. It also protects
the surface from gas, oil and chemical attack and provides non-skid,
anti-slip properties.
advantages:
Surfaces treated with ABC FLOOR HARDENER are capable of withstanding
high point impacts and stress of steel wheel traffic, fork lifts
and trucks.
uses:
Ideal for use in warehouses, factories, car parks, driving and
loading ramps, garages, mechanical and power rooms, wet rooms
and outdoor surfaces of all kinds, etc.
features:
- Easy application
- Easy maintenance
- High abrasion
- High impact resistant
- Suitable for constantly wet areas; skid/slip resistant
- Dust proof
- Resistant to gas, oil, mineral, solvents and other chemicals
application:
ABC FLOOR HARDENER is pre-mixed and ready to use.
SURFACE ARMORING is achieved by broadcasting evenly on freshly
screed concrete as follows:
Light Traffic : 3 kg/m2
Medium Traffic : 4 kg/m2
Heavy Traffic : 5 kg/m2
typical method of application:
- Follow good concreting practice when laying base slab. Smooth
and close the surface of concrete with wood float to ensure
an even and dense surface. Remove any excess water or laitance
from the surface of the slab using a soft broom.
- Broadcast ABC FLOOR HARDENER in two equal stages evenly over
the surface of concrete. The first application is made as
soon as the floor is firm enough so that aggregates do not
sink. Wood float or trowel to compact the first layer. Broadcast
the second layer approx. 20-30 minutes after the first application
or just before the initial coat is about to set.
- Smooth lightly with a steel trowel taking extra care to ensure
that the metal aggregates are not embedded under the substrate
surface. When firm, steel trowel again to bring the surface
to a perfect finish, again making sure that the metal aggregates
are not buried beneath the surface. To produce a non-slip
finish, trowel in a sweeping circular motion to produce slight
ridges.
storage:
When stored in a cool dry place, ABC FLOOR HARDENER will remain
usable for a period of 1 year from date of manufacture.
packaging:
25 kg multi-layered self-sealing paper bag.

uses:
- Indoor and outdoor use
- Suitable as wearing surface for storerooms and workshops
PROPERTIES:
- Self leveling
- Outstanding flow properties
- Quick drying
- High compresive strength
- Excellent wear and abrasion resistance
surface preparation:
Substrate must be clean, structurally sound, free from dirt, dust, loose material, oils, chemicals and other contaminants that may affect bonding. Wet subfloor surface, but make sure there is no ponding or standing water. mixing:
Slowly pour 25 kg of LEVEL into a plastic pail containing 4.5 liters of clean water. Quickly mix for 2 minutes, or until mixture is smooth and free of lumps. For best results, a mechanical mixer is recommended. Apply immediately after mixing. Exact water ratio is critical. Do not over mix. To maintain the homogeneity of Level mortar, always prepare the exact amount needed for the floor area to be covered. application:
Pour the LEVEL mixture continuously on to the subfloor to the desired thickness of 2mm to 5mm. Use a spiked roller to remove entrapped air and to create seamless and continuous joints. SKINNING TIME: 30 minutes. SETTING TIME: 24 hours. If there is a need to increase the application thickness, pour another layer (not exceeding 5mm in thickness) after 24 hours. Protect newly applied mortar by allowing foot traffic once setting time is reached. FULL CURING TIME: 28 days.
CAUTION: Not recommended for permanently wet areas.
coverage:
